KTS Revamps New Law Offices for Atwood & Cherny

The Situation

Atwood & Cherny, P.C. were moving their law offices from Boston to Newton, MA. Their new space needed renovation and rewiring from the ground up. Before construction began, KTS was contacted and invited to be part of the planning.

The Work

KTS was part of every phase of the project from planning to design to installation.

As the walls came down, KTS removed old wiring and disposed of it. Then, as construction proceeded, they installed new wiring as the new walls were built out.

By including KTS in weekly progress meetings, KTS was able to sequence the work efficiently and schedule their team to be on site at the appropriate times in the process. They were also able to offer suggestions and feedback throughout the process.

As the work progressed, KTS installed wireless access points, installed A/V equipment, built out a data closet and wired all the workstations for the attorneys and their staff.

Challenges

By including KTS from the earliest stages of the project and continuously communicating through weekly meetings, KTS was able to execute their part of the project with no significant challenges. Being at the planning table made the project go smoothly. Being included from the beginning made the project fulfilling for the KTS team and efficient and successful for the customer.

Benefits/Impact

KTS was included early in the process, which allowed them to make suggestions, ask questions and plan efficiently to get the project done on time and on budget. The new law offices are completed, they look wonderful and their network infrastructure is up-to-date and working well as the attorneys and their staff settle into their new space.
