The Situation
A financial institution with more than thirty branches throughout the Commonwealth was experiencing unreliable cellular reception in areas of one of their buildings. Poor cell service means reduced productivity as people struggle to get connected. It also risks safety in an emergency when no signal can be reached. The customer was referred to KTS. They reached out to KTS to find a solution that would fix the problem.
The Work
KTS assessed the situation and determined that a BDA system that served the whole building would be the most cost-effective option to ensure reliable cellular reception throughout. Two Wilson 4330 BDAs were installed.
Challenges
The biggest challenge on this project was fine-tuning the antennas. There are no cell towers nearby, so long-range antennas were employed. The experienced KTS technician fine-tuned both location and direction to ensure a strong signal to the building.
Benefits/Impact
Today, the building has reliable cell service on all carriers throughout, enabling everyone to be productive and safe.
