The Situation

A pharmaceutical company was moving into new space. The space was move-in ready with furniture and fixtures all in place. The only thing left to be completed was network wiring. KTS was called in to get the network up and running.

The Work

KTS built out the data closet, including cable trays, racks, switches, cables, grounding and firestop sleeves. As is KTS’ standard practice, all the wiring was clearly and accurately labelled, so that if IT needs to make any additions or changes in the closet, they can easily find what they need. Then, KTS ran cabling from the data closet to the individual workstations so that employees would be able to plug in and start work on arrival.

Additionally, KTS installed wireless access points throughout the office and tested all the access points to ensure they were up and running and providing thorough coverage.

Benefits/Impact

Once KTS completed all their work, the space was ready for immediate occupancy. KTS was able to complete all the work ahead of schedule allowing the pharmaceutical company to take occupancy sooner. The pharmaceutical company is now up and running and its employees are happy and productive in their new space.
